I have used this soap for several years. It is very “friendly” to the skin and each bar seems to last forever. Costs a little more but worth every penny.

Tom’s VS Dr. Bronner’s
Tom’s stuff has always been great, and I only recently found out they had bar soap. When I found out, I knew I just had to try it–and it was definitely worth it! There’s no junk like alcohols or synthetic fragrances, and the only thing that I wish would be different is the use of palm oils (though I know it’s more economical for then to do so).Now, I’m usually a Dr. Bronner’s guy. I really love their castile soap bars as well as their variety (although I only ever find myself reaching for their eucalyptus and peppermint bars since those are usually what I can find at Walmart). So with that, I wanna do a quick comparison:Lather: I find the lather with Tom’s to be outright better. Both ToM and DB weigh the same, so theoretically they should last the same amount of time. However, I feel as though I go through DB quicker because the lather isn’t as rich, and I find myself using more of it. With ToM, the time it takes for it to lather up is much quicker. This could be a bonus for some people, and ultimately for me it’s not a huge deal–as long as I get clean.Scent: So, DB wins this one pretty easily. Not only does the longevity of DB’s bars’ scents exceed ToM, but the addition and concentration of essential oils in DB products is their big hitter. You get the benefits of the essential oils as well as the scent, and they really don’t skimp on them. ToM’s scents are much more complex, especially in the orange blossom with the addition of argan oil (this one and their eucalyptus are my favorites!). ToM scents last much shorter, and essentially dissipate within an hour after showering. DB may last a similar amount of time depending on whether you are sweating afterwards or not, but–anecdotally–I would say DB wins this.Moisture level/Dryness: I think it’s a toss up here. Both DB and ToM have similar drying effects on my skin (normal-to-oily). Both leave my skin pretty dry, but never dry to the point where I believe I would peel or need to apply more moisture, even. For that reason, I think they tie in this category.

I absolutely love Tom’s Bar Soap! It’s gentle and perfect for sensitive skin, especially for women’s delicate areas. Both my husband and I use this soap daily, and it works wonderfully for us. I have very sensitive skin, and this bar has never caused any irritation. It always leaves me with clean, soft, and fresh skin. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a natural, gentle soap option!

Great for my sensitive skin (Eczema/Dermatitis)
I’ve been trying for a while now to find a soap that would not irritate my skin. I occasionally get contact dermatitis/eczema so it was quite important that I found something which would not bother my skin. If you’re wonder what that means: I basically get rashes, irritations, scales, and/or bumps on my skin quite easily depending on the ingredients in the products that I use on my skin.So here’s the story on this soap, I randomly stumbled onto it while in a store one day, and decided to give it a try. I was a bit hesitant as I started using it because I was cautious about some kind of reaction happening, so I used it minimally, and didn’t notice any problems. I used it for about a week before deciding I would buy another bar. I eventually started using it quite liberally and it’s been working great since. I’ve actually been buying it for a little while now and I normally buy the 6 pack on Amazon. I would suggest buying that one if you do end up buying it as I’ve never had a problem with it, and I see a few reviews saying the other ones are oddly sized and such. Personally, I have only used the coconut bar so I can’t speak for any of the others. I personally think this soap does a pretty good job at cleansing and moisturizing your skin while not being too harsh on it. One thing I noticed is that it leaves sort of a sheen on your skin (I believe this is one of the oils in it), it dries up a little bit shortly after you dry your hands, but there’s still something left behind. You can also taste it a little if you don’t dry your hands properly between washing and eating something with your hand. One thing you don’t want to do with this bar is leave it in water as it will melt. Make sure you put it in a dry spot after using it or in a soap dish that drains. If you have sensitive skin, I would definitely recommend that you give this soap a try. I can’t make any promises but I hope this product works as well for you as it did for me. I’ll still search for more products that I can use on my skin, because you never know when a company may decide to change the ingredients or your skin decides that it doesn’t want to play nicely with something anymore.
